They just didn't want to pay for health care "reform". They are still ultra liberal and ultra socially regressive.

Take away the health care bill, and they would side with Obama 24/7. I don't see this as any "message" to Washington.

Liberals are childishly selfish, self absorbed human beings. The whole country can go to hell as far as a lib is concerned, they just want separate quarters.

Let's see. Dodd stepping down is not a message to Washington. Virginia gov going republican is not a message to Washington. NJ gov going repub is not a message to Washington. And the bluest of the blue states, the seat held by Teddy Kennedy going repub is not a message to Washington. Dem congressmen not running or switching parties is not a message to Washington.

Fine, can't wait for Barbara Boxer to "not" send a message to Washington. Along with Ben Cornhusker, Blanche Lincoln and others. And hopefully Harry Reid will not be sending a message to Washington soon too.

You took that out of context. It is a message about health care reform, but none of their other socially regressive politics.

My point was that if you take away the health care bill, that they didn't want to pay for, then they're down with everything else.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but it's like winning a baseball game by forfeit.
