Buy Term And Invest The Difference

Gotcha. As for DB as a lifetime problem, it is not problem for most in my circle. To be clear, I was talking about myself...not potential clients.

I failed to see your pension scenario as being relevant to talking about multimillionaires becasue simply it was not the topic I was previously discussing and not a topic I'm remotely interested in talking about. *worst run on sentence ever*

Okay so you and everyone in your circle will not suffer a loss in income due to a death say in retirement? So the loss of say $20k per year of income in retirement is not something that would be a problem for you in retirement?

You are correct. The loss of $20k/year does not affect me or the vast majority of my circle now, can't see how it would affect me in the future.

Ok correction, I wouldn't go on AS many vacations if my income dropped 20k ;)

You do realize that is the exception, right? Also, generally people in that circle are going to have estate tax issues, which is another reason for permanent insurance.

Yes I realize this is the exception...please see all my commemts above for clarification of my position. Do you guys get off on trying to talk down to people? This whole, see what I did there, thing got started with me making a tongue-in-cheek comment to Rouse.

First my income gets questioned and I answer..then this comment comes out of left field. Yes, I'm fully aware most people own less the $2 million in real estate and have gross incomes under...let's say $400,000. Thanks for clarifying that it is the exception.

On "creative" mortgage financing , hit all time and continuing here in Hawaii - foreclosures. The banks/servicers real creative.

Primerica "Buy Term and Invest the difference", what's your take on this

Buy term and invest the difference (affectionately known as BTID on the forum) compares the costs of term insurance and the (assumed) returns of equity investments... to whole life insurance returns.

There is FAR more to whole life insurance than just the returns.

Plus, BTID is a REPLACEMENT statement and is incomplete. The true phrase is "buy term and invest the difference with me."

Thank you for your response, and clarity.
I am a recent agent for the company who sells "BTID", which does not sell general liability- which I am seeking for a client. Thank you again.

Yes but think of the invaluable experience learned being sold a policy and watching your upline sell to your friends and family while recruiting them!:twitchy:
