Why is this the "best advice"? I'm not an advocate of people intentionally going on medicaid...why do you feel that this is the best direction?

Special Needs Trust. I'm not sure, but i think you can eliminate that 5 yr wait period.

Medicare tax is for Medicare.
Medicaid is funded by federal income taxes plus state taxes.
