Can I give away a $15 dinner cert?

$15 is another classic example of a CMS rule gone wild!

$15 has nothing to do with giving every person you meet $15. This CMS rule applies only to MA, MAPD and PDP's.

Medicare Supplements are under state jurisdiction. Check your state reg's. But, $15 has nothing to do with it. IMHO==>My state would clamp down on me for offering an inducement or prize unless this could be given to anyone and everybody who puts their pre-stamped entry form into my box. You may collect a lot of worthless leads. You might consider using a phone book and then going out to dinner after you set 4 appointments.

Health Fair has come and gone. I offered anyone who stopped by my booth a chance to win a $15 dinner cert. I had just under 200 entries. Each entry form had at the bottom an option to be contacted regarding Med supp. rates and/or LTC rates. I received 13 leads out of the 200 entries that requested to be contacted regarding either Med. Supps or LTC. Out of the 13 I have ended up with 3 appointments all resulting in writing husband and wife. Definately worth it to me considering I only paid $20 for the booth and $15 for the dinner cert, and yes I did not advertise or pitch Med. Adv or PDP's.
