Can I Sell a FE Policy in NY As a Non-resident Producer?

Hello All,
I have a client that is interested in a final expense policy, the only problem is they live in NY and I am a non-resident producer.

Does anyone know of a final expense company that will allow me to write a policy for this client as a non-resident producer? I will not be meeting with this client in person. Trying to find a company that will allow the application to be faxed or emailed.

Thanks,
Josh

If you're NOT looking for a G. I. policy,CSA Life will allow you to fax / email application to your client. There is no agent witness required. The client would have to send you a physical check and wet signature since they do not accept EFT drafts for the first premium.

If you need any further information, feel free to PM me. If you're unsure, you can also call CSA Underwriting department to confirm.

Good luck, either way!

As long as the agent is licensed there, then he can do what you are saying.

Foresters will allow it as well.

Yes they do. You have to be approved to do it and you have to be in a state that allows it but they do have a teleapp process for PlanRight.

I guess thats 1 of those top secret top producer privileges Im unaware of....for us reg agents, thats NOT allowed! Funny, I just had to ask them that last week....their reply, No!!

It's not a secret. it's talked about on the forum for a couple of years at least. I think Brad Aden even has contracts for it.

This is another "I dunno" moment for you.
