Yes, you can become licensed. However, if you have a serious felony on your hands like murder or larceny then no.

The main thing I suggest regarding answers to background questions is to keep your documentation that means don't lose it because you may need the same info over and over again throughout the years and it is a pain in the behind to try and find it. When the question says have you ever then I still report two misdemeanors and one of those driving things going back 1983-1985. If I had it all over to do again I would have tried to behave a little better as a young adult especially since that doesn't always mean you are grown up. If you want to know if police whack white people upside the head with billy clubs, yes, at least in Bakersfield CA back in the 1980's.
