Carrier Help

Hi All,

I recently went into the FE field after 6 years of traditional life/p&c. I'm getting overwhelmed with all these carriers and need help on creating a suitable line up. I am currently contracted with Phoenix and GPM.

My target market (in my community) are 50-70. I say 30% are smokers, 50% have diabetes, 60-70% have either high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Other than that no cancer or other serious health issue and none with off the chart builds. Coverage average is around 5-10k. There is one thing I am trying to avoid and that is a PHI. Most of my market don't speak English well (asian population in CA). They do have immediate family members who can translate for them if the PHI interviewer allows.

Which carrier line up would you recommend for that market?

My 1st FE app with GPM got withdrawn because the interviewer won't allow her child to translate even though she is the owner on the policy. Phoenix, so far no PHI but their minimum FA is 10k. I'll need one that will accept lower FA for clients who can't afford higher coverage.

Thank you all in advance!

There's two carriers that I placed probably 90% of my business with in 2017 that require no mandatory PHI...

Americo & Transamerica.

Both are good for diabetics (will take insulin use & even neuropathy with first day coverage). Americo will take pipe & cigar smokers with non smoker rates. Also, Americo has an instant decision e-app that can be completed in 5 minutes & you're paid the next day.

I'm also in Cali (SoCal) so feel free to message me if need be.

What Broker4ever said, Trans and Americo. I would also recommend RNA. As long as you use the RX guide, you'll know if it is going to be approved or not. They have a mandatory PHI, but I can get it to where they won't PHI your clients at all. Just write a paper app and fax it in.

Americo does not require a PHI?

Which Asian community? Hmong, Chinese? Many of the other Asian communities, such as Filipinos, have a lot of English speakers. If Hmong you are also going to want higher face amounts.

Security National does not have a required PHI, but will call if any meds show up not listed.
