Vietnamese and CambodianWhich Asian community? Hmong, Chinese? Many of the other Asian communities, such as Filipinos, have a lot of English speakers. If Hmong you are also going to want higher face amounts.

Yikes!
No, it's not just you. Seems like they've really tightened up underwriting lately. That's why it's not worth it to me anymore to write them. I just don't feel right punishing the loose underwriting carriers with only sick clients & giving all the healthy to SNL.I am no SNL or FE expert.
It does seem that they are doing more PHIs. At least to me. They just did one on a graded plan. Before that on script hit on a cholesterol med the client has not taken for years. Zero other meds. Before that one I think it was because his sister was the owner. Not that big of a deal as they were all approved as applied. Maybe it is just me.
Ultra Protector has a Pref/Std/modified product similar to Transamerica. Copd will go standard.
Eagle is a Pref/Mod product with very liberal UW. For instance, heart attacks and strokes only have a 12 month look back.
Thank you for the info! So which product line is designed for what market? A client with more serious current/previous health issues would belong to Eagle and the others in Ultra Protector? Or would be based on price.
Both are final expense products. UP is more competitive, but once you add the AD&D rider, the price is close to Eagle's which has AD&D built in.
I would say Eagle is better for serious health conditions. But the UW of each product is different. There's lots of things that will go UP2 first day coverage that will go modified with Eagle.
But there are a lot more niche health issues that will go Level with Eagle that would go modified most other places. Cerebral palsy, anything heart related over 12 months, anything stroke related over 12 months, Lupus, hep c, Parkinson's over 1 year, sickle cell..off the top of my head.
