Client W 3 Break In's in 3 Years Needs Homeowners

i have a client who needs homeowners insurance. only problem is, she has had 3 break-ins in 3 years. all 3 were from door being kicked in and stealing computers and tv's and such. a smash and grab type job..

either way, her insurance company is dropping her the end of oct. anyone know a good carrier for this? the client is in columbia, south carolina

Non-standard carrier like Foremost

Ya e&s or state fair plan. Something's fishy here ... The odds of it being truly 3 smash n grabs are low.

Wrote a client recently with 2 breakins and another claim. Went with Lexington through Appalachian Underwriters. Rate was not too bad.

How is it working with Appalachian? Can you quote on your own or do you have to send in Acord apps?

That's a tough one. Let us know how it goes

You can quote several lines on your own (workers comp, umbrella, GL, USLI products, Atlantic Casualty and more. Some states have quoting for Lexington, IN does not yet.

The best part for personal lines is they have a personal lines router that will show you the companies your client may qualify for based on claims, dwelling coverage amount, PC, etc. Then you can fill out an online app and send it.

I have had better luck with their personal lines underwriters than commercial. For most commercial, I usually go elsewhere.
