Could someone give me an update please on what the CMS rule is this week on medicare advantage/pdp plan appointments.

Last I knew it had been modified so that instead of the 48 hour thingy you could discuss a plan with a prospect if the subject came up provided that you did the permission slip but could not do an actual enrollment at that appointment. So you could, for example, discuss a pdp plan if it the issue comes up during a med supp appointment but you had to do the permission slip bit and could leave material with them but had to come back for an actual enrollment.

Maybe that is not right and never was. Anyway, what is the status of that mess this week.

Thanks.

I'm afraid to answer the question.

I'm afraid of these plans.

I'm so afraid that I've gone back to Med supps 100%. And let me tell you...I've never been happier.

The rule now is that you can get a new SOA signed if the client brings it up and then proceed with a presentation and an enrollment.

some companies are adding their own rules. Wellcare, for example, says that the appointment must be separated by 2 hours. Of course, that only matters until march 7 now with them. Other companies have different rules. I haven't checked on Pyramid's lately, but, I'm sure they will have some sort of sales prevention rule in effect at all times.

You have to check with CMS and the particular companies now in order to earn that $25 on a PDP enrollment. Did someone say that agents were overpaid?

No doubt I'd like to say I'm 100% MedSupp's. I can't blow past a lead and tell a Zero Premium Guy "no". Nor the uninsurable "no". By October, we will all be 100% MedSupp's! :jiggy:

The only sensible way for a rational man to live is without rules; therefore I sell MA by request only and do no marketing for it. I do stumble upon about a case a week or so just from the volume of IFP leads that I purchase.
