Coastal North Carolina

Is anybody aware of a good cluster that works with agents in coastal NC? We're a little different than the inland parts of the state due to the fact that our propensity for hurricanes makes mortgage companies require homes to have wind/hail coverage. Was talking to a recruiter from a cluster located in Illinois and when I brought up which carriers they had that offered wind/hail, it became a concern.

I am about 60 miles inland, but I just ran into this myself while quoting a coastal property. I missed the quote, but later found a few carriers that would work for it. There is also the NCJUA which will sell wind and hail coverage for anyone in coastal NC as long as they have a primary homeowner's policy that covers the rest.

I am a new agent myself, and I work with Horizon Agency Systems. I can't say enough about how good they are and how easy they are to work with. I looked at all of the clusters and networks available here and really couldn't have designed a better contract. They are very agent friendly and have a good carrier selection without locking you in to a long commitment or charging exhorbant startup fees. Most importantly, you can quote/bind and there is no buyout clause on your book of business. You won't find a nicer group of people either. PM me if you have any specific questions and I will be happy to go in to detail.
