Columbian is replacing the Caring Solutions and New Century products with a new product called Life Solutions.. They basically took the best of both plans and combined them into one. Plus, they added living benefits.. Just like the Caring Solutions, it is a LPU90 product which creates high early nonforfeiture values. They also took the child rider from the FE product so you can even add grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, etc. Premium is close to composite of the two old plans.

You could do telephone applications with the other products, I wouldn't think they would change that procedure... You had to fax or mail the app to get a hard signature.. The, thye would follow up with a phone interview after they received the app.

Just notice that the accidental death benefit doesn't expire until age 100.. I think that is the same as the FE.. Looks like they borrowed ideas from all their WL product lines..

No.. Non Par.... Definitely blue collar type plan. They dropped the max from $10 million to $500K.. They do have a par wl with a $100K minimum..Premium is on the high side and I have not compared how it performs with any other par plan.. Have never written it.

This plan has a $100K minimum for preferred rates .. But you can write a $50K base and use $50K level term to qualify for the preferred rate.. Haven't seen other companies doing that.
 
Well, they give with one hand and take away with the other.. Just received an agent contract addendum for this and all future plans. They have added the same language that the FE contract has that you are required to maintain 20 policies in force in order to receive vested commissions after termination. At my age, that is a big deal.. If you drop to 19 policies you or your family could still be receiving $1000+ in renewals each year but the company is going to keep them.. That is a very high threshold compared to other companies. :1frown:
 
I do not have it in front of me. However, I seem to remember that the 'termination for cause' clause changed as well.

If you are a multi company agency and you contract an agent with another company would you be in violation of this clause. You might assume if the agent is spreading his business among an additional company he my very well decrease the volume with Col..
