Commercial Insurance Training Question

Commercial insurance account executives are getting harder to find these days in Texas and especially in a rural areas where were located. Our office is in desperate need for one at this time. I was thinking of purchasing an on demand training platform to assist in getting a newly licensed CSR up and running. Has anyone tried this or a similar method? If so is there a company offering these on demand programs you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

State Auto has a good program (if you have them) called Pacesetter. Its a year long program with 2 weeks onsite training in Columbus.

This sounds like a good idea, but the type of person that does well as a csr is different than the type of person that will do well in sales.

Hi,
If you go with the on demand training platforms you should only expect for them to learn the basics,such as lingo, terminology, Certificates, Acords, etc. It will not teach them how to handle specific customers or situations. Some carriers have some amazing new producer that apply to someone with an account executive position. If you have access to Hartford they have the Hartford School Of Insurance, Liberty Mutual offers a ton of road show classes every year that are extremely valuable.

Thanks CLNerd. We looked into the Hartford School, pretty pricey but I've been told they have outstanding results. It's probably a good investment for the right person and hoping to find. We purchased the Total CSR, it's a little pricey but pretty good because it's on demand. I have two new hires working with the program now.
