Pet Insurance

Is pet insurance P&C? Pet insurance is neither Property nor Casualty. Seems like it would be health
Somewhere on site, awhile back there was a discussion about insurance on horses. It was stated there that horses are considered property so one had to look on the p&c side for coverage for those animals.

I would expect the same to apply to cats and dogs, (and squirrels if one would find a carrier willing to cover them).

I think I saw that Physician's Mutual offers pet insurance now.
turns out that Physicians Mutual does have Pet Insurance. No license needed though because its technically not a commission. They pay a one time referral fee.
They say they hope to make it a permanent product that is commissionable in 2025 though. If they do, it means producers will need a 2-20 license to sell it.
I just picked them up this week. Seems like it would be an easy and natural cross sell

I do NOT want to lose a client every time snuffy gets the sniffles and Mildred gets mad at the co-pay. No thanks!
