I like the basic concept. If this picks up steam at minimum it would keep a health insurance agents away from poor 10% or 15% contracts.
However, agents need to know that commissions are just one piece of the puzzle.

I agree.....I've encountered guys and gals on 10 or 15% AND have no support, training and are buying there own leads. Some would say it is their fault for not researching and/or knowing better...I say they have an MGA/IMO that is simply taking advantage of them.
One guy I came across was writing a good bit of business in this kind of situation and the MGA was not offering bumps and/or bonuses. And of course, when we tried to move him over onto a suitable comp and requested a release, of course the MGA refused to release him! I called this joker and asked him if he had ever heard of the emancipation proclamation...he wasn't amused and still would not release him. Anyway, the way some of these guys continue to do business never ceases to amaze me.

Any update on the CommissionLadder program? I was looking at their site again and had a thought: Maybe they're just finding NAA and Primerica agents and showing them how the other half lives?

Yes, but then again, if anyone is looking for a 55% contract where you can buy your own leads and get lackluster support and training, I will gladly get you appointed.
I haven't talked with the CommissionLadder guys recently, but I'll have to give them a call tomorrow to see how things are going. Been so busy recently that I barely have time to even check this Forum!
