Whats going on guys. quick question for ya.

Who are most competitive GL carriers in FL? Im really looking into getting an appointment just don't know where to look.

any info would be totally ridiculously awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really depends what classes you are specifically looking to write. I write a ton of contractors, and Auto-Owners (they don't want property though) is very competitive. Mapfre can be competitive on somethings as well, and they seem to want more property (up to 2.5Mil per location). I haven't written much with bankers, but they tell us they want a lot of BOP's, and don't mind writing up to 3Mil in Property (i'm inland).

Honestly if Auto-owners is anything like they are out here, you cant go wrong... they are pretty darn competitive.

Where are you located? American Vehicle can be competitive on GL. they write a lot of contractors as well, and pay 20%. No payment plans, so you have to setup a finance agreement if you offer that. To be honest though, most of the contractor classes we write, go with Auto-Owners and Nationwide. If they don't fit with those two, we don't spend too much time on it.

Scottyj is right. Auto-Owners is about the best company we have to write for. they provide yo uwith training, pretty much whenever you want, for personal, commercial, and life. they are very easy to get get ahold of and have top notch customer service, and they pay well. They will require a higher commitment though, than some of the other carriers, and they do require a life commitment as well, I believe.

Josh,

Where can I find american vehicle?

Any sites or numbers you can share to find appointment app with nationwide?

Spoke to auto-owners and they said no, need at least 3 years of experince

I forgot they merged with Federated National. contact them, I don't have their number handy, as Im at home, but just google it you should find it pretty easily.

Nationwide appointment is harder to get than AutoOwners right now. I doubt you will get that one too. They both want steep commitments, at least 3 years, and they want you to show that you've been profitable. They also want you to roll a profitable book to them when you first sign up.

Federated National, is where you should focus, they didn't require a commitment from us, and are fairly easy to deal with. I consider them non-standard for artisan Contractors .
