Compulife Integration Directly into CRM

I integrated compulife directly into sugarcrm last night. If you are a sugarcrm user, this is done by using the studio, taking the fields tool, making a iframe field, then parsing the data into the iframe using the build url tool. It's somewhat complicated because you are limited in sugarcrm to 255 characters in the iframe field, so you do have to make variables with single letter names etc in order to parse the data across. I imagine it's what coders felt like back in the 1980s when DOS had the max 640k memory to work with.

Cool part is, if your lead was posted into your system with the required data to quote it, you don't have to type anything. You just click the quote button. No chance of typos, no time wasted, etc.

Trying to find a health quoter that will be capable of doing the same thing, but I don't think any of them want me to, since they do try to offer their own CRMs.

that is the power of compulife.......I like the turn water into wine function.....

Yes, but will it box it for you?

Box o' wine is the best!

Or a big gallon bottle of lambrusco. Speaking of that I gotta go see if this new liquor store is open, we just got package stores passed into law with the big libertarian turnout in the last election.

Libertarians + Old Hippy Liberals = Liquor stores!

Sadly one town voted against liquor by the drink and another against package stores.

The logic in a town with an economy based on tourism not selling liquor is completely lost on me.

I mean you can buy every as seen on tv item ever, an airbrushed shirt, and a carton of marlboro reds right on the strip, but no jim bean to go with it? Heresy!

You do not have liquor stores or bars?!? :arghh:

Now remember, our counties aren't the size of states, but there are three main tourists cities in this county. Off premise beer sales are legal county wide. Gatlinburg, the smallest, allows liquor stores and liquor by the drink. Sevierville, the largest, allows liquor by the drink. Pigeon Forge, the middle in size, allows beer and wine sales in restaurants. Beer sales are legal county wide, and wine must be sold in liquor stores for off premise consumption.

And yes KSig, it makes no sense. They claim they are preserving family values as they think the tourists really care. Nevermind that Gatlinburg hosts just as many Christian based conferences as Pigeon Forge.

Most people drive to a neighboring county to buy liquor, they mark it up too much in Gatlinburg to soak the tourists. So only our local businesses miss out. The tax revenue just goes elsewhere.

Oddest thing, the one WITH liquor stores is the classiest part of town in the tourist zones.

Someone told me they got rid of the airbrush vendors on the strip, we stopped and got a couple to be ironic.
