Confused on Following Threads

I have been away from the forum and recently got back on. Here is what I am confused about. When I click on a thread all that shows up is the OP"s initial comment. i scroll to the bottom of the page to read replies but the replies are not there. I hate o sound dumb lol but has anything on the forum as far as following threads. If anyone replies, thanks. I ope I can follow it.
