Group question Vrse ACA

I have a referral for ACA that I will speak to on Monday

However I am told she is trying to decide if she should do ACA or group through her buis, which she has a quote for
However her buis is only her and her daughter are partners no employees

I was told for me I would need to have a few employees to buy ins, as a group from the buis

Am I missing something? or has something changed? can someone get group with only 2 owners now?
Is this just state specific, this is SC

You can def do a 2 person groups in SC. BCBS even allows 1 person "group" plans now.

vic120, yes, there are group plans that will go down to 2 lives in SC both fully insured and self-funded. Each state is different.

No one can determine if competitive until you request a quote.

Yes, state specific. And carrier specific as well to an extent.

For Fully Insured, against a 50% ACA subsidy, I would not expect it to be competitive.

A Level Self Funded plan against 50% ACA subsidy, could very well be competitive. But that is assuming Self Funded is suitable for them. If they have low utilization, it could be a good fit.
