Did you ever see the episode of Taxi when Reverend Jim bought the racehorse?

Can't recall it.

I did see an episode of Archie Bunker a while back where one of Edith's relatives died and Archie had to pay for the funeral. It was $750.
Does were da days.

Acutal funeral cost.. If they have no insurance around $10,000 if they already have $10000 the funeral cost as much as $25000

Reverend Jim went to the racetrack on his day off. He won something like $10,000 on a longshot. He went back to the barn to thank the horse and the owners told him it was for sale. Jim asked how much, the owners asked Jim how much he had.

As Jim relayed the story to Alex, he couldn't believe that the purchase price was exactly what he had.
