Crash Course On The Hottest Social Media Channels

I don't know the OP, or his/her services, but I will say this -- IF someone was good at Social Media Lead Gen, they would not screw around with Insurance Agents - they would be in the 3 comma club at ClickFunnels.

ClickFunnels...what a shit show. From email deliverability, SEO rankings and social media share problems - I don't recommend using them. IF you do use them, host the page on your own domain...

OK...lets be honest. How much time and money does the average agent have to advertise on these various mediums? How many hours are we spending? I get that we have to be proactive and in the "wider community" so to speak...but is it generating sales?

I've found most of my leads are coming from parking my ugly but for 2 or 3 hours at a farmers market. Or from educational seminars.

(Full disclosure - I'm no longer in the field but my question in legit)

Yeah, that's the thing with all this social media nonsense. Yeah you get clicks, and views and blah blah blah, but the actual conversion to business is awful.

The problem is nobody understands this. You'll get leads from social media yes, will it be more than the leads you generate buying leads or cold calling? Probably not, but assuming you build an audience of people who respect you, you open yourself up to bigger deals, money from social media itself, the best realtors I know sell their own products lol. People still don't have a clue how to obtain an audience.

That depends, do you have:
1. Chat software (free from vcita) you can talk to someone on your site of they have questions?
2. Have a lead magnet you can trade for an email so you can drip on them?
3. An autoresponder series that shows them your process, testimonials, and helpful info?
4. Your email AND phone number (local) displayed prominently on every page?
5. A quote form not inundated with a ton of fields to fill out including their favorite type of birthday cake?

No? I'm sure conversions are low...

On a side note, 95%+ of traffic won't convert on first visit - unless you're finding convos that have people talking exactly about finding quotes/plans etc. at that time.

For everyone else, you need to drop on them whether its via dripping on their email, attracting them back with quality content, using remarketing ads or a combination of all 3..

I think one of the issues with Social Media Marketing, is that marketers treat every platform like it's Google. People on Google are looking for your search query, folks on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Bing/Yahoo, YellowPages, Pandora, Dating Sites - whatever, their all different platforms and your marketing plan is not going to be the same.

Also timing I imagine is another issue, I would wager a guess that marketing on Social Media would give better results during AEP/OEP for O-Care and M-Care enrollment periods.

Lastly, most Ad Copy/Images - suck, its all the same ol' same ol' stuff - What makes you different, what is going to disrupt the prospect enough to give you more than a fraction of interest?

The biggest problem is that marketers go into what they're doing without a plan.

Instead of having a strategy, they string together a bunch of tactics, sit back and wonder why it doesn't work.

Here's a plan that my company created. This will help forum readers align their marketing with their sales/renewals.

Enjoy!

Who's going to continually invest tens of thousands a dollars/month in things that don't work? Simple as that...

You will have made some money off of them and then you will be off to the next.

Not really big on internet back and forths with random people so I'll end it at that...

I think the forum is random insurance discussions.

What would be better, we sign up for your lead generating services without question, pay a fee for you to talk about business models and what we are trying to accomplish, then pay you to implement the plan and see if it works ?

On another note, anyone actually want to have a productive conversation around growing their insurance agency with social media?

That sounds good in theory.
