Credit Card Processing

Starting my shopping for best credit card processing services. What is the best out there for cost & ease of use? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It may sound lame, but I've been using paypal. Depending on the volume you're doing you can get fairly competitive rates, and it's super easy to use. It may not be the best, but I don't think it could be much easier.

Thanks Josh; Never thought of paypal....will look into that. My usage is for strictly commercial - collecting agency bill for E & S, fees assessed for other services. Need to make it easy for the client, and me...

With paypal they have three levels of service (I think). The basic one that's free, a step up from that, and then a full featured merchant service like authorize.net. It has a virtual terminal which let's you take credit cards over the phone (just login and take the info in). You can also use it to take payments online and email invoices. It's super easy. Why do you have to be involved for CC payment. Why you do not use a Finance company to finance the premium.

We are constantly issuing endorsements to existing policies that add anywhere from $500 to $25 additional premium. Since they are all agency billed, we have to invoice and keep track....the carriers always get paid, I want to make sure I get paid!
