I will be taking a class to study and for the P&C exam.

any advice?

Also, curious how most agents are paid out. Do they get a flat rate per sale or is it broken down monthly?

What advice after passing exam and getting license can you offer to getting started and getting some business?

What is a reasonable amount per month to make first year in the business? Can one make 30K? 15K in first year?

Are you asking can you make 30K your first year as an agency owner? If so I think you should research this forum about how hard it will be to get appointments as a brand new P&C agent with no experience or book of business. If you are asking can you get a job paying you 30K per year as a team memember then I saw a recent post from an agent that is on a $22K salary and a $50 commission on each sale the onyl way to answer your question would be to see what agents in your area pay and if they have openings.

You should be able to make somewhere between $20,000 and $40,000 your first year.
