Death Spiral? Short-term Health Plans Grow As Cheap Alternative to ObamaCare

AC, which carrier denied the appendectomy? Instead of going after the broke agent they should be pursuing deep pockets carrier. A combination of 6 o"clock news and Twitter should get the carrier to cough up the bux.

Why couldn't the PH sue the carrier?

I am not a fan of STM but seriously considering making it available to my clients that claim they will go bare in 2015 since they can't afford their upgraded Obamacare plan.

Something isn't adding up here.

I don't know the plaintiff, Somarco. The agent says that the insured is a "poor hick" with a contingency attorney trying to make a quick buck.

STM is OK under certain circumstances. I won't stay clear of them, but I won't sell them as an affordable alternatives to major medical either. That's what the above mentioned agent does. There are a lot of grenades with various timed fuses in his customer base.

STMM is like lighting a firecracker in the toilet of a fat man with gas

You've gone back to urban sewer diving Tater? Take a video next time. Must be one hell of a concussion!

I don't know about up there but down here there ain't jury one that would be convinced that an appendicitis attack was a pre existing condition. They would skin that ins co alive!

On to urban sewer diving.....use an M-80 for better concussion an added bonus is the water proof fuse.
:D

It doesn't really matter who is in the right, the side with the deeper pockets usually wins and the insurance company has far more resources than the consumer.

This story is my whole issue with STM, it isn't worth the very small commission to create this type of potential liability.
