Dems Have the Votes?

Man, listen to these clowns lining up in droves to announce that they have the votes. They don't.

Bunch of bloviators. If you have the votes, call for a vote. And yes I know they picked up a couple votes today.

When does Obama leave to go overseas. Sometime later this week. Better wrap it up before then if you have the votes. Can't give people rides in Air Force One if it is overseas.

They only picked up votes that nobody really had in the no column anyway. I love the change in reporting all the sudden though, now it's only 211 votes against, rather than saying how many votes for.

Of course, the real reason they haven't had a vote (other than not sure if they have the votes) is they don't have a bill yet. Ooops, details. Have you read the bill they will vote on? Of course not. Vote on Saturday night, but still nothing to look at.

While I believe something will happen, I doubt it happens before Obama leaves on Sunday. They are hoping to do it before Easter recess (when does that start?) so members don't have 'tea parties' while at home.

The delay will get blamed on the CBO score. Not really sure why this matters. The bill may be deficit neutral, but, it is clearly not pocketbook neutral. That $1,000,000,000,000 of additional spending comes from somewhere. To be deficit neutral simply means they have to raise taxes by that much.

Of course, I did round that number off a tad....

Oh they have a bill. Gets convoluted. They have a bill sitting in front of them that has already been approved by the Senate. They just dont want to call a vote on it. But to your point, they dont have the proposed amendment to the bill that has not been approved yet and which they may try to amend without ever adopting.

Okay fine. This is your brain. Now this is your brain on health reform..sizzle........sizzle......sizzle.
