Dental Insurance

I have several seniors who have expressed an interest in dental insurance.
What are the "leading" stand alone dental care companies for seniors? I'd appreciate hearing feedback on this. Thank you.

UCT and Medico have some decent stand alone dental plans, they also include vision and hearing. There's a long post on this in the senior forum you can do a search

Also, you can go to UCT or Medico's website to view the plans

What state? I like anthem extras, vision, dental, and silver sneakers for $50 mo

Anthem extras is a stand alone plan that can be bought with a med sup. Just mirrors some of the mapd benefits

I sell the heck out of Anthem Extras! It's the richest dental plan I can find. Most dental options for seniors are either discount plans or they only cover preventative. AARP also has dental but I think it's a little higher priced.

In some states, Delta has an individual plan. They don't contract agents for it, but if Anthem doesn't fit somehow, like if they want a plan that covers major work immediately, Delta has one, out of their 3 options. I sell another brand of immediate coverage, but full of confusing copays, and very narrow network in my area. I'd rather send them to Delta and not get the complaints. Anthem Extras is good if they don't mind waiting for major work or like the Silver Sneakers option, which can be included or not.
I'll have to go check out Medico.

I don't know I contracted with them last year. That being said I only sell them when a client ask for Dental. You make crap on it plus I'm not a fan of dental anyway. I usually put people and myself on a discount plan. Doing it for 12 years never had a complaint.

So it is not Delta Dental the insurance plan its just the discount plan?

Or were you able to contract for the Dental Insurance and just prefer to use the discount plan?
