I have a small business owner that needs DI. She makes $70,000 gross, but writes off enough where she only nets $17,000 tax wise.

What would you do? Pair CI and DI? Please help.

Thanks,
- Chris

Yes, that is your best option. Your client won't be able to qualify for much DI with such a low income, however, they can protect themselves against significant income loss if they suffer a serious helath issue.

You need business overhead coverage. You'll need to know a bit more, such as the fixed expenses, but this will give you a bit better coverage on the business.

I'm not a disability guy, so there are likely some catches on this coverage.
