So, agents are now listed..........one by one by one...........on the HC.gov "find help" button. Of course you have to click another "Yes" button to see us evil agents. Once you do it, I pull up 998 agents/Navigators in my specific zip code.

1. There is no rhyme or reason for the order of the listing. Not in alphabetical, or by mileage, or anything
2. There aren't 998 in my zip code.
3. I'm not even on the list (Ann, I saw you).
4. They only list phone number and email.....nothing else.
5. Did you win the lottery with your name listed near the top? I'm sure most consumers will start at the top of the list.

Who here is on the list? Who is not?
How far down are you?
Did you win the HC.gov agent listing lottery?

Entering my zip code brings up 1,000 agents/navigators/counselors, which is the most that can be shown. I'm second on the list. But geographically, this list goes more than 15 miles beyond my zip code.

If I enter a zip code that's 10 miles away, I'm still on the list, but down in the bottom 3rd.

They do have my name, phone number and, curiously, the e-mail address that I registered at Medicare Learning Networks in 2013.

The state of Illinois listed me on what they erroneously call the "state exchange", www.GetCoveredIllinois.gov . All I got were Medicaid calls.. but only a few, thankfully.

NAHU says they are talking to CMS about the way their system makes you change "No' to "Yes" under the question of whether or not you want an agent included in the list of helpers! Sheeeez. It should default to showing agents as well as Navs.

I'm showing up #2 through #10 on the list for my zip code and surrounding zip codes.

I'm half way down the list.

CMS and IRS will be using this list to target audit candidates. Congratulations! You might not have to go through the audit until President Christie is in office.

Not one agent.

Blue, consider yourself lucky. David, Ann and AC will be able to tell us their audit stories in a few months.

I am thankfully not on the list in my zip code.

My guess is that everyone calling after looking at that page is not only clueless but doesn't want to pay more than $0 for a health insurance plan.

Somarco, I actually do consider myself lucky for not being on it. FLM is correct it would be worse than what I am already receiving this week.

Consumer to agent: Hi can you explain such and such a plan to me and who may be in the network.

Agent, oh I've seen you've been on the company website and have been exploring plans.

Consumer: Not on your's but I'm on the govt and at the end of application, but needed someone to explain these plans.

Agent: Have you clicked submit yet?

Consumer: No, I need to know what these plans cover.

Agent: I'd be happy to help if you will take my user id and npn number and there is a way to go back and put them in.

Consumer: No I won't go back, you did not help me get through this.

Agent: But sir you expect me to explain the benefits and network to you and I am not a corporate agent and work straight commission.

Turns ugly

Consumer: I don't give a sh** It's your job to explain these plans and I want an explanation.

Agent: Call the marketplace, you just said you don't want me as your agent, therefore the govt has just become your agent. Goodbye sir. Hang up.

Not just me, but every agent I work with has received these calls, there is one agent that is not as polite as me (lol) and told them completely off yelling throughout the office.

This is just awful-I would not yell at the consumer but would have ended the phone call long before any of these questions were answered, as soon as he said he wouldn't go back there would be no explanation, just a dead phone line.
