Did You Win the HC.gov Agent Listing Lottery?

I have had those calls, can't handle it that way in my small community where the way I treat people makes it around and pay dividends.

I did have to refuse "service" to a few clients described, at the end or already enrolled and now wanting answers and access. I gave them the phone number to the company, explained that we were swamped and that our time is for those that have enrolled through our office.

I agree with not dealing with these folks. Just say "I'll be over (or tell them to come to your office) at 11am or 2pm today, which is better for you"? and they will hang up and save you from doing it.

This is just awful-I would not yell at the consumer but would have ended the phone call long before any of these questions were answered, as soon as he said he wouldn't go back there would be no explanation, just a dead phone line.

The other agent did it.

I did just find myself on the list, way down. But it does not matter.

not on my list, but an agent with my agency who was licensed 2 years ago is...I guess being licensed for 14 years doesn't count

I got about 10 policies in Washington DC this year from people using agent search function on DC Health Link and calling me off the site listing. No problems, all still on the books.

Somehow I am #1 in my zip code! I have yet to sell a Marketplace plan in my state and don't plan to anytime soon, for a number of reasons. Anyone know how (or if) you can take yourself off the list?

There is no rhyme or reason that I can discern for how it is ordered unless it is proximity. There are not likely that many agents in my zip code although I doubt I'm the only one. One agent that I know that is located about 30 miles away and in a different parish (county) is listed further down the list.
