Difference Between GA, BGA and MGA?

Very, very newly licensed agent. Trying to figure out the landscape and ease into the insurance industry while making a career change. Sorry for the remedial question in advance.

What is the difference between a BGA, MGA and a GA? They all seem to do the same thing to me.....essentially provide support services to agents and act as a distributor for carriers? Will someone kindly explain the difference? Thanks in advance.

A GA only BSs the agents in his office, a BGA BSs independent agents who have their own office, and a MGA BSs GAs.
