Different products with different IMO’s?

Question. I've been selling Medicare for about a year with a brokerage. I've been approached to sell other products such as Final expense , Mortgage protection , annuities and such with another IMO. As an independent agent can I sell Medicare with one brokerage and sell other products with another?

Yes, but your current brokerage probably has all of this available. Don't spread yourself too thin. Target one market, like Medicare and FE can be written from those leads.

Thank you for responding. The only reason I ask is the brokerage that has an agreement with me and my FMO who is a friend of mine but we only sell Medicare products. This other company offers all the products and actively sell them. These are the only two companies I would be dealing with for that reason. I just want to make sure that it was compliant

If you're Independent, you can do whatever you want and you can use as many FMO's as you want...if that's what you choose to do. Just make sure you're doing what's best for you...not what's best for the FMO.

Yes it's common. No problem at all.

Agreed your independent. Do what's best for you as the FMO will be doing what's best for them.

But yes focus on FE added on to Medicare it's a great cross sell and happens regularly. Doing too much can change focus and slow you down..

Cross-selling FE to Medicare clients is such a natural sale that it really bumfuzzles me as to why any FMO doing Medicare wouldn't also have FE (at least) in their bag.

Al lot of them don't.

Because when they do it wrong the chargebacks will kill them.
