As a P & C guy, I think we owe it to our clients to provide the same or better level of service the health guys do. My staff is just finishing up requoting several thousand of our clients auto and home policies and offering them better deals with other carriers in our office if warranted. Yes it peeled about 70K in premium off the books at first glance, but the goodwill and referrals it will bring will payback many times over. We effectively insulated ourselves from the competition by doing this.
