Do You Take Advanced Commissions?

"Revisionist history. You were the one that got pompous and said that it was a failure to buy leads and take advances.

Those two things are separate issues anyway. You are the one that lumped them together and now whine about called out when you spoke on something you know nothing about"[/QUOTE]

ok, it was you, now I recall...

It was me that what? I didn't say anything to you except that you were clueless about this business.

Others said what you posted was the dumbest thing ever posted here. I wouldn't go that far because there's ben some pretty dumb things posted here.

Ok, why do you think I'm clueless about the business if I've been in it since 1986? Are you trying to discredit me so you can continue to recruit people- or tell them the truth that I speak is lies so that you can trick them? I don't think you are that type of person, but what the heck is going on? Look, I've been around. It is true that FE companies really use leads and advances really heavily in recruiting. If somebody like me comes along and says, "no, you can knock doors for free, you don't have to buy leads, and you don't need to take advances"... then you go out of your way to discredit that person, who is me by the way, why? I will let the "whine" and "pompous" stuff slide, but why do you continue to say I'm clueless and don't know about "this business", when I've been in since 1986? That makes no sense, unless you are trying to discredit me so that you may continue some sort of charade unimpeded. And I don't think you are that type- but it's starting to look like it, with your continued attempts on here.

The correct answer is whatever is correct for you. No one here can tell you what is right for you. Some people buy large amount of leads, some buy zero leads, some have spouses that make as much or more than they do, some of us are sole support. Everyone has a different reality.

I am a full time agent and I have a mix, but prefer not to have anything over 6 months. Over 50% is as earned. My persistantcy and taken ratios are very high. I started as earned but, When I went independent I really needed advances not as much now. For guys that have been doing a while it becomes more about preference than need. For newer agents take advances, keep expenses low and keep the pipeline full.

First, I don't recruit and never have so that blows that insult out of the water.

Your comment in that thread was that agents should never buy leads and never take advances and agents that do are what's wrong with this business.

That is clueless about this business whetehr you have been in it for one week or for 50 years. I can sit in a garage for 10 years and it won't turn me into a Buick.

You are the one that's constantly been on here talking about how you have failed over and over again in this business. I don't have to discredit you nor do I care if you discredit yourself.

Then you come on here and like Al and say you were attacked when you started the argument with your nonsense.

Be careful taking advances. The FE biz has the highest cancellation rate of all insurance. I will agree you have to buy leads in order for it to work...right.

You can do other types of marketing but the true blue FE agent buys leads by the truckload. Also plan on putting around 30k miles on your vehicle a year.

I am fairly certain you have mixed me up with somebody else or something.

I am at a 6 month advance on all final expense business. On med supps it is 9 month because of how well it sticks.
