I recently recieved information from the Indiana Dept. of Insurance that we cannot telemarket for med supps or cold call (door knock). I need a source to prove them wrong, can anyone provide a good link or source. I have been surfing for hours.

This affects everyone.

I vaguely remember reading that med supps will come under CMS regs later this year with same commission structure as ma"s and same rules. I'll try to help you find it.

Are insurance agents allowed to breath air anymore?

Ridiculous if true.

Truely amazing if true. I love how this countries economy is in the toilet yet they continue to take away multi billion dollar revenue streams like this and the dialer law taking effect in September. Keep costing this economy billions in revenue being lost just to keep people "safe and protected" from the big bad marketers. The do not call list should be enough consumer protection, this is getting out of hand.

Ask the Indiana Dept of Insurance to cite the law or regulation that they are relying upon.

oh believe me I did, she stated that she had gotten the info from ship. I cannot find any regulations regarding med supp marketing. I been to medicare.gov, ship, mippa and hippa sites, and looked @ hundreds of pages found by google, nothing. She is stating that I have committed 1000's of violations and will take my license.

We did recently get notification of this in California. I am thinking that it is CA specific, but will have to find the correspondence about it (which I probably deleted).

Rick???????????
