DOI Says That We Cannot Call for Med Supps?

Great American is a flipping joke. They bought Continental General and United Teachers, and were HELL to deal with when I called with questions about my few remaining policyholders. 20 min+ wait times, idiots that knew nothing, hell they didn't even verify my name or agent number on any of my calls.

I can't believe this is happening to you. If they are doing this because you churned your business with them.... that is just plain stupid. Good luck.

Yep, they did have a rough spell with all the buyouts and locating all the policies to one place.

Elder,
Sounds like all your antics are catching up to you. Who was the disgruntled agent? I know of about 5 or 6 disgruntled agents that you had. Funny you act so innocent when all you do is bend the rules. I don't care that you do but don't act like you do no wrong on here. You have always cold called for MA's so I don't know why they are messing with you on the supps.

Hey "Trespasser", where you been?

Nice to see you back.

Where can I learn more about "cold lead marketing"? I googled it with not a lot of success.

It is hard to tell anything unless the indiana doi person cites the specific rule. Some states, California included, have passed laws, rules against "cold lead marketing" which is not the same as cold calling so could be easily confused. Cold lead marketing refers to cold calling or even mail that solicits but fails to disclose that you are actually soliciting for insurance. In other words, it is intended to prevent agents/carriers from gathering info or jiving around on the phone pretending you are doing a survey or something like that or telling them that you have a plan that will help them but not disclosing that you are selling insurance.

Dont know. Indiana needs to flop out the citation for the rule.
