Again drawing a blank. Client is seeking 200k for a Buy/Sell agreement. Had a cocaine overdose back in march and has been clean since. Smokes marijuana. Any ideas? Appreciate it!

Yeah, with his age it wouldn't end up being worth what he was trying to accomplish. I was sure there wasn't but figured I'd see if anyone knew something I didn't.

Appreciate it Fellas!

No... I wouldn't stop there.

The premium, regardless of the amount, is always cheaper than the problem you are trying to solve.

If he can get an offer, insurance is the way to go to solve a $200k buy-sell funding issue.

The premium is the solution to the problem of a $200k shortfall at the time the money is needed most.

Just emphasize that, based on his health history, he'd be lucky to get ANYTHING to help solve the problem.

Choices have consequences and hopefully he'll buy and appreciate getting this coverage in-place... and then getting new coverage in a few years when he can.

SELL IT!

Primarily for the health questions to be a bit more favorable for his situation. We all know that even GI has health questions, but there should be less questions than simplified issue.

It's not really my market, but for that situation, I'd want the approval and ability for a claim to be paid as much as possible.

Petersen's failure to survive/buy-sell. They take all sorts of stuff and certain medical histories (because they will exclude conditions). They may take it.

I don't know of any carrier outside of them who would accept this risk given the recency and the continued marijuana use. Any drug history combined with that (or continued use of alcohol) is normally a dead deal for traditional carriers.
