Many insurance companies do NOT make software for tablets.
So, stick with Android as that is the most popular for tablets
because of the much lower cost.

Get a QUAD-CORE processor as opposed to the dual-core processor.
You'll be happy you did. It will work much faster when you're in front
    of a prospect.

Ebay has great specials on used tablets (I dropped and broke
    my $399 tablet).

Anybody use a Surface tablet and pros/cons with insurance sales? Been thinking of buying one to slim down from touch-screen laptop but Android based systems don't seem to work with enough software to make it appealing...at least that's what I've seen so far w/ limited research.

I LOVE my Surface Pro. I have done some E-Apps on it and it works great. The form factor is incredibly small.

I would highly recommend Windows over Apple/Android.

100% of all companies that have e-apps use windows. Some are available on other platforms but it's a slam dunk you can use windows based hardware.

Why anyone would suggest anything other than windows is more than a bit surprising.

You can get some very thin, lightweight laptops for the price of some tablets. Doing 'real' work on a tablet without a physical keyboard is difficult for me and others. Unless there is some app you need that only runs on a tablet (and I can't think of one offhand but I'm sure there are some) I believe a laptop is going to remain the road warrior weapon of choice for the time being.
