Today's Tip is brought to you by the letter "A", because being #1 is what it's all about...

In 2008 Yahoo, partnering with CNN, polled all of the high level politicians from Secretary of State Rice to Speaker of the House Pelosi and asked them several questions. One of those questions happened to be, "What time do you wake up and what's the first thing you do in the morning?". Their answers stood out to me and changed how I look at the work day forever.

Every person interviewed, that achieved great success, started their day around 5:30am EST and spent their first half hour awake exercising.

Are you sleeping in late, but still trying to get to the top?

Try early to bed, early to rise (To The Top...).

P.S. You may not HAVE to get up early, but there are dollars being made that aren't going to you ever extra minute you're asleep.

Another thing I learned at a young age is that if I didnt get up early to milk the cows, my father wouldn't let me have any supper. Thus, I learned that getting up early could be a good thing. Not saying my father wasnt concerned about my self-esteem and self-actualization, just that he had never heard of it, and the "ladies" in the barn didnt seem to care about it much either.

I'm guessing this wasn't in Kosovo?

Kosovo? I hear they have some pretty good website builders there...

Maybe, anyone can build a website... But, relatively few can actually bring in a flood of sales at the same time and I'm guessing they're not in Kosovo.

As I have gotten older, I find that I am waking up earlier and peeing for the first half hour. Does that count?

As long as you're getting work done during that hour. :)
