Equitable Life and Casualty rates for their new FE plan are on their website. Thier GI rates are astronomical and the plan is not in full benefit until the 4th year. $158.11 for 10K at age 65 male.. and it pays a whopping 25% 1st year and 2.75% renewal.. 100% CB if death occurs during 1 st year

On the email blasts, they were promising higher commissions but mine remain the same for the first year and renewals are cut almost in half. A few points on the commission aren't that big of a deal other than I feel they have lied about the plan for the last three months. Would rather a company give just the facts and cut the hype BS.

Did just speak with Cindy in Agency Services and she said she would change the contract to street.. Guess they meant to do what they said but some of the MGA contracts fell through the cracks. As long they correct problems promptly, can't complain.

Yep, the GI prices or way too much and the commission is way too low. I don't know why they bothered to even have one.

The other prices are fairly decent though and the underwriting isn't bad.

It seems that their u/w has changed slightly on those with COPD, and n/s for two yrs or more. They still offer immediate covg but at the Std Rate, not Pref. Std being smoker rates, so this makes them more expensive than Transamerica (Monu) for comparitive cases now.

Also, Today 6/14, is the last day for Legacy 1 cases to be submitted in IN, and likely many other states. The 15th brings in the new product, as mentioned above.

Still seems to be be very insulin dependent diabetic friendly.. I think the Legacy is being pulled in all states after today.. I know it is being pulled in TN.

The best niche for them was the COPD and n/s.... that window has now closed. As to diabetic friendly, agreed, but there seem to be other carriers that are equally as diabetic friendly with lower rates.

Agreed, the Legacy 1 seems to be history after today. I didn't know that until yesterday... and found out during a tele-u/w app... so I b-lined it over to a few other prospects who were planning on applying, had waited until after hosp/surg in both cases. Now recovering, lets get it done. Nothing like a deadline to get folks off of dead center. Of course they think that you are saying it is now or never, until I confirmed this with the tele-u/w gal while on speaker phone... Yep, tomorrow is the last day for Legacy 1.... OK then, lets apply! Then thankful that you saved them the extra 10 a month over Transamerica.
