I LOVE ERIE INSURANCE!!! I only do commercial but it is a great company for that. They are starting to tighten up a little on credits but still very competitive in rates.
For business where it is applicable, Erie's fire legal liability matches the per occurrence liability amount which is usually at least 1 million and very few companies in our area have more that $100,000 coverage. I think Nationwide may be $300,000.
There are many other coverages where ERIE kicks butt. Their contractor policy, the Fivestar, is 2nd to none.
I am certain there are no life requirements.
I'm going to be a new producer for Erie Insurance starting in December after I have passed my P&C test in late November. If anyone could send me a PM that is a current agent, I would greatly appreciate it as I have numerous questions. Thanks!
nyc? are you going to be a produce for the westchester agency or another agency that is appointed with erie?
if you are working for a nyc agency, i need to make a few calls again... lol
From our experience this past year...Erie is very competitive in NY on machine shops, small mfg, restaurants, car dealers, excavators, paving contractors, distributors. FYI: Dan Williams goes by 1manshow
No real niche with Erie unless it's a garage...they will kill the competition on garage business.
