Isn't the print for those "speaker notes" getting smaller with each slide.. and more words squeezed into the space? Hopefully there will be several live training sessions around the country this Summer, so we can ask questions of the presenter.

What do you see on pages 21, 28 and 37 that's unexpected, Taterpeeler? Give us a little hint. I went brain dead before getting there. T.I.A..

What about page 22? "Indians are allowed to change QHP plans a maximum of 1 time per month".

Page 21 - if you take Cobra, you must exhaust it before SEP eligible. (ReplaceCobra.com is still in the game)

Page 24 - the white guy gets tax credits, the other guy doesn't....mmmm

Page 26 - You will buy the plan and the tax credit will be applied at that time to lower your cost. You will save more money if you choose a less expensive plan. Age-based increases in premiums are included when the premium tax credit is calculated. The advance payment of premium tax credits is reconciled at the end of the tax year. It limits the premium payments as a percent of income.

Page 27 - all people under 250% FPL will be enrolling in silver plan in order to get cost sharing subsidies

Page 28 - catastrophic plans cannot be HSA's due to the 3 Dr copay requirement. More families that are above 400% FPL, but premium is above 8%, can buy catastrophic plans

Page 32 - love how agents are at the bottom, below those non licensed, non insured experienced specialists. Also calls all agents out as being biased.

Page 31 Says that the "Catastrophic Plan" has a High-Deductible which protects against high out-of- pocket costs. High deductible/coinsurance by definition means a HIGHER out-of-pocket cost! Catastrophic plans are better for people with high income and/or savings. Not those with financial "hardships". Sheesh!

Page 34: "Navigators won't actually enroll people. Navigators and their role in the Marketplace will be discussed later."

I thought explaining and enrolling were the Navigator's primary functions?

Insults, eh? Well, just for that I'm going back to read those 3 pages VERY slowly. If our future is dependent upon their content, we'd better understand 110%!

CMS says that they started "developing" the combined Navigator & Agent Training Portal right after the final Navigator Rule was released on July 12th. I hope CMS did SOME preliminary technical design prior to July 12!

"The federal government and states that are operating their own exchanges are expected to release a training portal for both navigators and brokers/agents who plan to aide people on the exchanges. A marketplace timeline provided by CCIIO for the rollout of the Affordable Care Act says that this training will be complete by August. However, CMS officials said Monday 7.15.2013 that the training portal will be developed now that the navigator ruling is final. They did not comment on timing."

Since there's just one portal, is it likely that Agents and Navigators will receive the exact same training? I suppose we'll both receive Federal Exchange ID numbers upon successful completion of the modules.

Since Navigators will probably be bossy, opinionated types from grass roots organizations, is it possible for them to say, "sorry bub, can't give you any advice."?
