Exchanges and Agents

If someone can go online to exchange, shop for and receive subsidized health insurance, where is the need for an agent?
What role will an agent play?
Is it true exchanges in MA meant the end of health agents in MA ?

What I would like to know is, do they have health insurance agents in places like Britian, Germany, Japan and in the top 10 industrialized nations? Im not talking about just a handful of agents catering to the elite but to the masses.

The reason I ask this is because it looks like this is where we are headed for better or worse.
