Hi all,
After spending the past couple of weeks scouring the forum and taking in all of the helpful information here, I was hoping for a little advice. I've been researching an opening with Sentry Insurance for a Consumer Products Specialist and was looking for opinions on the company. Their total package appears fairly enticing (car, salary, training), but I can't seem to find much info from anyone who has actually sold insurance for them.
First as someone looking to get into the industry (Graduated with my Finance degree about a year and half ago and have been working in pension and retirement since), is this a company that could benefit someone new to the insurance industry?
Second, any idea on the required quotas for their sales producers? Especially in your first couple of years.
Finally, what was your overall experience with Sentry like?
The few employee reviews I have seen have been slightly negative, but appear to come from people who just don't have the drive to be able to work from home and motivate themselves. Working with a company handling the outsourcing of pension benefits I'm no stranger to working long hours (50-60 hours a week dealing with retirees who have never given thought to their pension can definitely be challenging) and do a decent amount of my work from home already, so drive is not an issue. Thanks in advance for any info!
