Fair Split?

There is a lot more service work in commercial P&C than benfits, I would say that 35% is a great deal, I personally would not pay more than 25% new and renewal for what amounts to a warm introduction that may or may not be within the niche's I target.

That's why I wanted to ask here first before approaching the agents I already know. It has to be win-win for all parties, otherwise, it doesn't make sense to go any further. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a Broker in my area who wants me to get my P&C and he will do a 50/50 split. He will run all the quotes and I can present it get paperwork and collect the check. Sounds like this is a good deal?

Depends on what percentage he is recieving. If someone else is taking 5 points off the top and now you're down to approximately 10 percent. That would be 5% for you. You will have to sell a ton of insurance to make any money.

I hand off P$C business to a friend with no split and he hands off health leads no split. If he gives me life, disability and LTC we split 50/50.

Yes this is true! He say's they all pay different amounts but the average is 15%. I would have to be under someone anyway I can't get the contracts as an Indi. If I went to work for an agency I would have to be there 8-5 and do all the work and end up getting paid the same. This is just some side money to start. If I can save the client money they will have more in the budget for other policies with me. My thinking anyway! Of course the bottom line is to always help my clients do what is in there best interest.

If there is some info I should get first regarding contract % let me know? If you have a list of some companies and what a good contract would be considered I would have something to compare it to.:1wink:
Can someone make me a Super Genius? I need a new title!
