Farmers FA2 in California

Does anyone know what the status of FA2 in California is? I heard it was not planned for California at all, then I hear we'll start in November... And unlike most of you, my DM is useless. I scoured dashboard and no info.

Wonder when the company will figure out that most DM's are the true middle man in this scenario and make some cuts there. If we all dealt directly with the company there would be no more Good Ole Boy clubs, wino-drinka-rama parties at the company expense, no more free rides for the agents that are friends of the DM, and a whole lot more money going to the company's bottom line that they keep hollering about. DM's get nearly as much as agents for a piece of business - maybe that's a good place to start cutting. I don't get much value personally from the local district ofc.

Yeah, I dont want to completely bash on my DM - he is a damn good person with a heart of gold.... But as far as being useful in my career - not at all. I was with the company for 6-7yrs before deciding to go on my own, and I am struggling - I dont understand how anyone coming from a different company or field could ever survive with a DM like mine. =T

if you get rid of the DM that would be one less layer for the State Excs to blame for falling sale numbers. Kinda how like sports teams fire the manager/coach when the team is doing bad. Just blame and fire the DM when sales numbers are falling.

by and large i do agree with you through, after the initial hand holding period there really isn't any need for a DM. If they cut the DM % out maybe they can use that portion to cut the rates.

Just found out today for anyone who is interested.......

Farmers FA2 (Farmers Auto 2.0) will not be available in California, ever. Farmers will be switching back over to FIE from Mid-Century though, to bring lower rates. Hopefully soon!

Zarmers is only rolling back rates temporarily, as their long term plan is not to be competitive with their agent distribution model. Spend time reading the forum at UFAA.com regarding Farmers plans as hashed by seasoned veteran agents who really know what is going on.

I cant believe I have never heard of UFAA before! Thank you SOOOO much!

Just read through that forum......

Wow... I have actually been with Farmers years ago as an AP... somewhat left for a few... Came back and am now a CA. I guess there have been more changes than I remembered. Back then, you just keep your sales up (esp Life) and you got left alone for the most part... Doesnt look like there is anyone they dont hound constantly. Truly depressing...
