FE Lead Cost vs ROI - Tele Sales . . .

One of the major rules of success is not being afraid to fail. Myinsurebiz is not afraid to fail.

Most people will never understand that, they prefer to play it safe.

True, but the greats have learned from their past, which he has yet to demonstrate and repeats the common blunders that have been pointed out ad nauseam.

My insurance biz is by far the most visionary on this board so alot of people don't get him. He's also pretty sure his plans will work which for some reason makes insecure people wish he would fail.
In the 19th & early 20th centuries, I seem to remember reading that it was considered bad business to write life insurance for the working classes. However, many companies that are household names today got their start doing exactly that - selling "Industrial" insurance (the original Final Expense plans) to working class people that were paying their premium on a weekly basis to a debit agent. We owe a debt of gratitude to those early visionaries for essentially creating what would become the FE industry as we know it.

I have a little booklet detailing company history that was published in 1970 on the 50th anniversary of the Independent Life and Accident Insurance Co. (who eventually merged into American General/AIG). The seven founders didn't have much to go on when they started, whether capital, experience, or many forebears. But they had spunk, gumption, determination, fire in their belly, etc. and made it happen! And 70 odd years after they did that (and a couple false starts on my part), they hired a young desperate guy who had run out of options and just needed a paying gig. I'm no longer employed by that company, but here I am, still flourishing in the business in which they gave me my first real opportunity.

I don't know whether Tom has the same combination of factors for success that those men had, but he just might fool us all!

Whatever name you want to call it you can bottom line whatever you write with in the first three months 60% to 70% will stay on the books.

That is why you hold back 30 to 40% of the upfront commission so you can stay viable long-term because it's not actually your money which means it's not profit.

You're an *** if you think because you created 10 so called organic leads you're gonna be able to do it on a long-term basis thats not how you run a business .

These other agencies telling you that the average premium is $60-$70 are full of crap, and how they produce the leads will also determine what the average would be which has no bearing on what you're doing, also they're not telling you this to be honest, even face-to-face agents agree the average premium over long-term is $50 or less if you think somehow telesales is going to create you a higher average you're crazy.

Lastly your advance has nothing to do with what should be held back for chargebacks.

Proud of you. You properly used " you're" twice in the same sentence.

Based solely upon my experience and actual historical data - I can say that I've never had 30% to 40% of my team's business charge back or fall off in the first 3 months - even not ever (except for when the end came).

Advance has everything to do with holdback. Only the Advance that is unearned is the only thing that charges back.

But - I do appreciate your willingness to offer your thoughts - I really do Chase and thanks.

If you had the know how and the skill and the ambition to sell 2 medicare supplements a week for years on end you wouldn't need to be on the internet trying to get others to sell them for you. That is to be honest how it looks to me. I was selling medicare supplements before you were when you were mowing grass or whatever and I will be selling them long after you have retired or got a job at CVS. I've seen this movie a hundred times I know how it always ends.

Like I mentioned before, I wasn't trying to belittle you, but you sure seem to want to do that even when you have no idea what you're talking about. I was trying to help, but since you've only been getting 2 a week for many many years, that must be the way it's done. Because I wrote more than 2 per week for years...it wasn't "many many" years, so I must be wrong and I have no clue how to write more than that.

I hope you're satisfied with your 2 a week Med Supp sales!

Bahahaha - Pot calling the Kettle black . . .

It's " you're" saying dufus - not "your" . . . Lordy.

Actually, it is Your. You're is a conjunction of you are. So, saying, "You are grammar sucks" doesn't work does it? Now who's the dufus? :jiggy:

Damnit! I hate correcting the Corrector only to find out I was looking at the wrong part to correct. So I think I should say, "Thank you for correcting me".....right?
