FE Reduced Issue Ages

True market disruption doesn't start until you have multiple main stream final expense carriers postponing applications. Most of us can adapt and overcome to even significant changes. The death of Settlers, the changes of Transamerica, Rates, cso chages, etc.

we'll be fine.

That.

Remember suddenly having Aids questions and testing.

This is nothing. Writing business has never been easier. Who has to Carry a roll of dimes and a gas station street map?

Right, but it means at least one carrier is thinking about it. If it's just Gerber whole life, then it's just a yawn. But didn't I recently read about a carrier who's postponing issue on anybody who tests positive for COVID-19?

In any case, I think change is in the wind, as much for economic reasons as for underwriting.

Yes I think UHL and Americo have both addressed COVID-19 to their underwriting process so far. More will likely follow. And when their are only a few left who don't they will get adverse selected as a COVID-19 niche which won't be good for them.

I don't know why not. Just means don't send in money with the app. Or the TIA.

But yeah, unless the person is healthy Assurity is not the normal FE solution. It is a good one for a healthy person though.

I have a recorded interview from around 5-years ago with Assurity's head underwriter. He claims throughout the entire interview that Assurity fully underwritten will take cases that their FE would not.

I don't think our agents ever found that to be true in the real world though.

AmAm too now..

Yes Am Am has added 3 questions on Covid. Since this affects mostly older people with health problems who Fe people deal with i expect big changes going forward till a vaccine comes out . The fully underwritten segment of the business is in turmoil now.
