ANy thoughts on who is better and better priced? RNA has no phone interview and Foresters makes you call Aptical.. With Foresters you get an answer while at the client's home but with RNA the time spent in the home is less..Any ideas?

I can write both of them. For me, RNA is a slam dunk winner over Foresters.

Foresters has it's niche market. For cases that fall out of that, they are just too much trouble to fool with. Plus, you don't always get an answer at the end of the phone call.

I write RNA first, RNA second and RNA third. If that doesn't work, I look at AmAm, UHL, Americo and then Foresters.

When I sell Foresters my prospects like the fact that they will know if their application has been approved before I leave their home. I use Foresters telephone interview as another benefit my client receives if they apply with Foresters.

I have had two cases with Foresters where they did not tell me what the decision was at the end of the call. Both times it took over 10 days to get a decision.

Here's one for you---I wrote a 20 year term with Foresters on a guy in his forties. My field office ran a quote and I collected the premium. At issue they called and asked for another $2 and some cents for the additional premium they said was due.

Tuns out my field office ran the quote correctly. When the same quote was run in-house with Foresters their OWN IN HOUSE software (I was told) had a "glich". They wanted the money instead of using the correct rates.

They decided to issue the policy BACKDATED BY 2 YEARS TO MATCH THE SUPPOSED PREMIUM!!!

The so-called 20 year term had 18 years to run AT ISSUE.
I am still arguing with them about this. I think Foresters is JUST PLAIN WIERD.

I'm trying to help one of a former client's widow fill out a death claim for RNA. As I'm no longer active with them they will not let me accept the claim forms by fax and take them to her to help get the process rolling faster. 7 days later now, and she still has received nothing.

Then, I get an "Urgent" e-mail asking for my help for the agent report for the claim since the case is < 2 years old. I again asked for their help in letting me bring the claim forms to the beneficiary and again they refused.

I have not had a death claim with Foresters yet, but this process with RNA has already been too stressful for the beneficiary, and needlessly so.

The folks at Foresters have been great to deal with in all respects. I haven't head the hiccups detailed in the above posts but I've only put about 200 clients with them so far.

but with RNA the time spent in the home is less..Any ideas?

I did not find this was the case at all. Having to track down the doctor's information and write down every prescription drug they were taking was too cumbersome compared to every other company's applications... It certainly was not faster than doing a Foresters application and being able to tell the client that they've been approved when you leave the house.
