FE - Walmart

$5 gift card would be my guess. Aetna has also started doing this with med sup referrals get a 5gift card for up to two referrals per member. So a couple could get 20 bucks

Received a mailer today offering a Walmart Gift card if I would respond for info about up to $35K FE.. Of course it was a blind mailer so you cna't tell what company or agency was involved. Has anyone had experience with these leads? How much is the gift card for? Would think you get a lot of responders only interested in getting something for free and no insurance info..

I mailed that lead two years ago. I was shocked at the low response. I think it was through Kramer Direct. It was a standard mailer they offered.

Is that legal? Doesn't that constitute an offer or enticement of some kind?

I have heard of this many times, I have also had agents ask me to do this with our mailers... I have been consistent with that answer being no because it is way too grey for me to interpret...

The gift card is usually five dollars, but where the problem lies is that you are suppose to give one to everyone that is willing to meet with you and some agents who don't get the sale won't give the card... this is where i have a problem with it..

I would recommend not doing it this way... because i can assure you that you don't want to mess with the fines the state department of insurance hands out...
