Felony

Anyone have any advice on a FE Carrier who will take someone who has a felony as recent as 6 years? Narcotics distribution??

I had someone contact me and I know 5 star, Americo, Foresters, and Aetna will not approve...any other thoughts??

I believe Settlers would take the person.
They ask if he has used illegal drugs in the past 2 years. Beyond that, he should be fine.

I don't know of an FE company that wouldn't take it. Including the ones you mentioned. I don't see that question on the Americo, 5 Star or AmCon applications. I didn't go get a Foresters app out of the car but I don't remember that question being on their app. I haven't written a Foresters since they made the changes so it could be there now.

I'm looking for a carrier who will accept a new agent with a felony on his record. A guy asked me about an appointment and he has a felony from 2006...

A felony is usually a strike out even getting an insurance license.

That's what confused me, but apparently state of MO gave him a conditional license.

If he has No conviction before or after the conviction you mentioned, he will be ok with several companies... as long as he has a license. Try some of the smaller companies... Security National Life...Oxford....American Home Life... etc....

The only company that typically will take someone with a recent or any felony is unfortunately...dah, dah, daaaaah...LH. They'll take anyone.
